Adam + Lauren | Nashville Wedding Photographer

It’s not often that I get to watch an entire love story unfold, from start to happily ever after, for one of my couples. But for Adam and Lauren, I’ve gotten to sit back and watch every lovely moment. Pass the popcorn, please. You might remember their sweet engagement from almost a year ago here, where Adam proposed to Lauren on the same dance floor where they first met. You can imagine that I was quite excited when their wedding day finally arrived just a few weeks ago.

Adam and Lauren’s wedding took place at the Nolensville First United Methodist Church. Lauren had always dreamed about getting married in a little white church and this was the perfect location to make it happen. Lauren’s simple and elegant touches made the wedding incredibly beautiful. Following tradition, she carried a sixpence in her shoe, but this 1936 sixpence happened to be the same sixpence that both her mother and grandmother carried in their own weddings. How sweet is that?!

Ultimately, I leave the decision to do a first look or not up to the bride and groom. I love the tradition of not seeing the bride before the wedding, but there are so many special moments that can happen when a couple decides to see each other during a first look. Lauren and Adam decided to see each other before the wedding and I’m so glad they did. After Adam got over the shock of seeing his beautiful bride, he surprised Lauren with a pearl necklace and bracelet set to wear with her wedding dress. These private moments between the two of them are so sweet.

Right before the wedding began, Lauren’s bridesmaids gathered around her and her mom to pray for Lauren and Adam, their marriage and the future that they will have together.

Adam and Lauren chose to write their own vows. Adam told Lauren that he promised to walk through life with her….until they can no longer walk, so then they will buy the scooter chairs and scoot through life together. How awesome is that? I love how much this ceremony was a true reflection of these two.

Don’t they make a gorgeous couple? Congrats, Adam and Lauren! Thank you for letting me share your special day!
